Monday September 3

Hello again Towson Students. Now is the time to really buckle down for the semester and make sure you have completed all assignments and went over your syllabi’s thoroughly as well as mark calendars with due dates. Marking your calendar is a good way to keep on track for the semester. I personally like to put when tests dates will be and what class it’s for and when an assignment, project of paper will be do. That way it will be much easier for me to remember than trying to remember to look at eight different syllabi’s everyday for the numerous amount of classes I am taking and having a lot of things due from different classes on the same day. This way I just look at the calendar on my wall and see what’s due and what coming up that I need to start working on or studying for. So what ever method you use to stay organized and on top of things start now. A lot of people like to use different colors to represent different classes and some like to re make their syllabi’s and hang them on the wall and highlight things they need to do so just start on what will make you successful in your classes and go for it. Hopefully by this time all of you are pretty settled with the decision of whether to keep the classes your in or not and have already purchased your books so you can keep up with your work and the class, if not this could affect your first few grades so make sure to get all the essentials you need for the class as soon as possible. Don’t wait to the last minute and fall behind especially if you are planning to add or drop a course. The first week is the best time because classes are relatively still fresh with the course workload and the books have just begun to really crack open so now’s your time to make a smart move concerning your educational career! Most students like to use the beginning of the semester for socializing, hanging out, and making new friends. Although that is a big part of the college experience, it is not the biggest and your grades show how much an effort you put to one part of the college experience and which will weigh more when grades are out so don’t fall behind. Be sure to check in again September 17th for more helpful tips and insight.
